Good for you! What points did you share with him? What did he show the most interest in? Just curious...
We covered a wide range of topics. U.N. scandal, Pedophile scandal, changed Generation teaching, etc. He majored in Philosophy and never thought the JW religion made much sense. He did like the family aspect of it that we had.

It's been 17 years now, but anyway, he said the last time I was visiting he seen me on a JW website and he thought I was being sucked back into the JW's. I told him it was the apostate JWN site. (LOL) I assured him that I am very anti-JW religion, and that I would never ever go back to it. I shared many of the TTATT that I learned here with him, and he found it extremely interesting.
is this the perfect time to tell family that are still in that you are so upset/devastated/embarassed over the candace conti revelations and trial and what happened to her as a 9 year old witness that you need to step away from field service and the meetings and do a lot of private praying.

With their own in-house legal team, no doubt the WTS will file an appeal, or hope that the Judge himself thinks the award is too high and reduces it. I'm shocked that the WTS was stupid enough to let this go to trail. They are screwed, and will see the beginning of their demise. I left the JW Org. pre-internet (for me 1995), but still never would have returned. Back then it was just more of a gut instinct that the JW religion was all BS. Still there was always that feeling that it could be the Truth. Not until late 2009 did I stumble across this site and learned the TTATT. I was soon able to see that the religion was not "the Truth", but a ridiculous Cult.
